Am I bonkers???
Well no, in these credit crunch times many self employed programmers tell me that they have less billable hours these days, and employed programmers are finding it harder and harder to justify new software to their line managers to approve budget - no matter how useful.
By reducing the price I hope to increase take-up and the more people using the program, the more of these pesky obscure bugs get tracked down and squeezed out.
How long will this crazy offer last?
I have a target number of sales I want to achieve before returning to the full price. No, I am not going to tell you what that target is or how close to the target I am - you never know, competitors might be listening!
In fact, I’m sure they are! Several years ago when doing a new release I accidentally used a made up word for one of the new features. A few weeks later, a competitor trumpeted their new version - and their new feature list was identical to mine, including the made up word! A little bit cheeky I think.
But many of my customers say they’ve tried all the Web Code Generators available and like mine the best, so I try not to let it worry me.
So, in short, the price may go back up without warning today, tomorrow, next week, next month … so if you are thinking of purchasing, don’t put it off, buy it today and save yourself a packet (not to mention getting the immediate benefit of the software).
New Website Design for City Business Logic!
To coincide with the release of version 10 of PHP/MySQL Web Database Application Code Generator, comes a brand new website design.
The site design is based on the default skin design used by the generator itself.
As always these things don’t always run smoothly right away - the download link was pointing to the wrong place earlier, and the css layout was a bit wobbly in IE at first, all the usual stuff!
It’s getting there, hopefully I’ll find a spare minute to blog about some of the exciting new features in the program itself soon.

After 6 months of development I am happy to announce the 10th generation release of my Web Database Application Generator product.
New features include:
- Extensive use of Ajax
- Generated code is Cleaner, Easier to understand and modify
- Greater abstraction between code and design
- Faster code generation
- W3C Validated XHTML 1.0 Strict Code
ASP support has now been dropped since most ASP developers have moved to ASP.Net or joined the PHP camp.
Also, some of the more obscure features have been removed in order to simplify the generated code and make adding extra features much more straight forward.
